The OTSO UTSM COSTA DAURADA was born from the idea of creating a balanced encounter between a natural environment of a very special value, such as that of the Serra de Montsant Natural Park; the people who inhabit the villages integrated in the territory and the athletes who, with their strong sports and human commitment, will be the ones who will trace the route that unites them…

…The competition is now in its sixteenth edition, after being launched in 2009 and having increased the number of participants year after year.
OTSO UTSM is a walking race, affordable, despite its 63km and 3,470m of positive elevation gain, with the intention of offering us the experience of running in total freedom and semi-autonomy in a framework of eremitical tradition, which served as an isolated place from the world for ascetics and anchorites who voluntarily sought a return to austerity, simplification and silent contemplation in a perfect environment such as Montsant (hence its name Montsant). Apart from the main event, there are three more races such as the 25km-11km-7km trails, which will be held on Sunday. And in this edition we maintain the distance of Marathon-MSM 44km, scoring with 2 ITRA points and qualifying for UTMB 50k.
ITRA POINTS: The UTSM is a UTMB qualifying race. The queen race (63km) gives 3 points in the ranking and we maintain the TSM25k with 1 point in the new ranking. The Marathon-MSM will provide 2 ITRA points and will be qualifying for the UTMB 50k.
NOTE: All distances (Ultra Trail 63km, Marathon-MSM 44km, trail 25k, trail-trek 11k and 7k) will be held on Saturday, October 11 in the morning.

External assistance
It is forbidden to receive external aid or to be accompanied by other people that are not racers registered in the race. External assistance is ONLY permitted in the LIGHT and COMPLETE provisioning posts areas only for 1 person (Margalef + La Morera de Montsant + Albarca + Santa Magdalena Ermitage). Outside these areas, external help or assistance is forbidden.
Racers are responsible for their own food or hydration during the race. It is advisable a minimum of calories at the beginning of the race ensure a semi-autonomous participation in the race.
At the finishing line, there will be an AV2 provisioning post.

There will be not plastic glasses throughout the race. You must to have a reusable glass on the race. If you want. the organization will sell you a special glass to be used throughout the race. Liquid provisioning posta will only have water. At the light and complete provisioning posts there will be other drinks, but they can only be drunk in situ. Cans or other racers’ drink containers can only be filled with water.

-CANCELLATIONS: If you are registered and want to make a CANCELLATION, it is processed by sending an email to [email protected] (you have to put: name, surname, ID, phone number, email, reason and proof, payment method, the day you made registration and an account number where to return the money).
-ACTIVITY CANCELLATION POLICY: We understand that sometimes plans change. Once the registration is made, a penalty will be applied for changes or cancellation equivalent to 50% of the price of the same and up to one week before the event (with proof). From this moment there will be no economic return for cancellation.

- Cancellation insurance: By hiring the cancellation insurance you can recover the money for the race in the event that you cannot come, we only ask that you notify us 10 days before.
